Remembering Why I Write
written 04.15.25
I haven't really written anything in a while.
Not seriously, anyway. I'm kind of tired of writing — more specifically, tired of writing emails, proposals, quotes, work orders, requests, and Teams messages.
I felt really, really compelled to just start a journal, for everyone to see again. Not a Twitter, not even a Bluesky post can beat my necessity to just write my thoughts out about something.
About what, you may ask? I'm not quite sure yet, really. I have a ton of thoughts (in fact, thinking about how many notes I have in my phone, I should sort through those) written down, but they definitely need expanded on.
I remember wanting to be a YouTuber, and I have so many titles for videos that I'd love to make. Hell, I'm just going to list them here for simplicity's sake. Revealing my hand of things I want to talk/write about:
1. OK K.O: The Show That More Than a Show (To Me)
2. I Miss Steven Universe
3. The DreamWorks Theory
4. I Played [insert game here] Again (feat. Sonic Spinball, Sonic Heroes, Minecraft)
5. I Read [insert book here] Again (feat. Scott Pilgrim)
6. Superheroism
7. Actually Using [insert thing advertised to me here]
A lot of these ideas are somewhat fueled by nostalgia, others were purely ideas that I think would work on a platform like YouTube. Regardless, they require a script, so... these are things I'd like to write about, one of these days.
These ideas, seeing them here on this webpage by themselves just get my blood flowing and my brain going. These topics, and future ones that I'll inevitably come up with, excite me. I can't wait for them to come to light, even if no one reads them. Sure, I'll share them around on Bluesky (half of the reason I redesigned my website was to link to these different articles directly, instead of just a broad page) but they'll mainly live here, in this digital home.
I've always been a writer. I can't be tired of writing. Not yet, anyway.
